Well, told our bodyshop man that it would be screwed on as per the advice of the experts on here and he wasn't happy tbh. His view was that they do this as their living and the advice here was from hobbyists! I wasn't impressed and told him that considering thisll be the second camper (but he's done 100s of classic cars) he's worked on, I didn't think he'd be the expert on fitting trim to one, and that it would be screwed on! So, it's going to be fitted before the primer is sprayed this week, then taken off for the spraying. We'll then also put wax on the screws when it's refitted.

Oh don't you worry, they'll be doing the work! That way if something goes wrong it's on their backs and can fix it.

I might be a "hobbyist", but has this "expert" seen the deluxe trim yet?
I have fitted two lots of deluxe trim, one lot to a 57 and the next to a 64, you will NEVER get it to fit with any tape be it 3M or normal body badge tape.
You will have to screw it.
