I've got it that the cable connects to the dust seal on the LH side of the bus, but I don't understand whether it goes in from the outside of the seal or pokes out from the inside
Anyone got a piccy showing this ? My bus is apart, so can't replicate it at the moment.

Through the centre of the spindle from the inside, then pokes out the centre of the dust cap secured with a circlip

Hi,
The speedo cable feeds through the back of the NSF spindle (it's hollow) and pokes through to the dust cap that sits on the drum. It is held in place with either a split pin or circlip depending on supplier of the cable.
Hope this makes sense
