Who's got the largest engine, using a stock mechanical fuel

by vwJim » Sat Nov 01, 2014 12:09 pm
Seen lots of 2007cc engines fine on a mechanical pump, but there's got to be a point when the OG pumps just can't keep up.

Anyone found out?

What got me wondering is that I'm looking at a bus with a newly built 2276cc engine that has a mechanical pump & was a bit surprised to see it.

Yup 2276, DRLA 40's stock fuel pump. Measured 3.5 psi at WOT.

2007cc motor in my buggy running. 48idfs never starved of fuel, it's an original Vw pump, also one on my 1967 cc bug motor, don't underestimate the stock pump Jim.
Good luck with it.
