Deluxe trim - are all the repro ones the same quality?

Deluxe trim - are all the repro ones the same quality?

by AdrianReeve » Thu Dec 18, 2014 10:12 pm
Ok, I know this question has been asked many, many times before, but discussions usually soon turn to 'OG is best!' I know this is true, but my van is being painted soon, and I don't want to have to wait for 6 months looking for a decent set! So, are all the repro sets the same quality? Heritage, Limebug, AAC etc. all seem to come in at around £250ish, but then the CE Engineering kit is so much more expensive. Does anyone have any practical experience with any of these kits, and is the CE kit worth the extra?

Any opinions welcomed!

Cheers

I know there has been some discussion about this recently, so I used the search facility and found these comments/threads:-

Ade (Ernie) fitted the CE trim a couple of months back.

Hope this helps.

Got a bit more time now I'm back from work.

I fitted CE trim on my old bus and it was spot on.

When I bought my new bus a few months ago, I looked at the cheaper trims, but they all try to save a couple of quid in postage and packaging costs by bending the long piece in half to get it in a smaller box.

I didn't like the idea of trying to straighten that out without any permanent damage.

Dave Palmer at CE has done a lot of work to trying to get the fit spot on, and it is.

Don;t say i told you, but if you push them you may get 10% off (& possibly free packaging) !!

I have fitted two sets of Creative, i even dumped a set of original to replace it with Creative.
Its worth the extra.
