VWspeedshop exhaust: anyone know them or have one?

http://www.vwspeedshop.com/product.php? ... 476&page=1

I'm thinking of changing my exhaust to get more clearance and the (CSP Python looked great, but expensive) the I found the vwspeedshop that make a side exit exhaust.
Does anyone have one of these or know them?
Are the ok?

Cheers

I have a vintage speed one with side exit fitted to Peebles...not run at all yet..for any runs..
Looks the part on a stock bus.
I saw markp had one on Gerry and looks good on a stock height bus. Fits fine with tow bar. Posted pictures on another query about stainless with tow bar.
See Peebles..
They do one for lowered buses with centre tuck away for up to 1776 and another for larger capacity..
I am still dubious if that would fit with tow bar though..

:) That looks good I have a bugpack at the moment and it rattles on the bumper and although it tucks away it could do with being 2inches higher up.

Does the vintage speed let you use your heat exchangers?

You can see how it fits up under the valance on Peebles. The tuck away style of pipe fits lowered buses.
I had to move the valance slightly and put heat insulation on the inside face to prevent the paint being burnt but it looks really good and sounds lovely...

Hi Steve
I run VW speedshop side exit, have the one on at the moment which has slip jointed j tubes.have had one previous to this ran heat exchangers ,both great exhausts.
Also. I run a towbar which is a modified bay one which sits behind the bumper and in front of the valance with no clearance problems at all.
The lowest part of the exhaust, is part of the silencer which sits 3" off the floor, now my bus is 59 1/4" to the gutter at the front and 61 3/4 to the gutter at the rear.
Hope this gives you a rough idea on hight on a stock bus it will be well out of the way .
I have no issues with the exhaust hitting the floor or speed ramps :D .
Below are a few pics of my old exchanger exhaust and I have just been outside and taken a few of the slip jointed one I run on the bus now.
Hope this is of some help.

No problem Steve, one last thing rear wheel and tyre combo.
15"rims with 165/80/15 tyres.
Lower profile will make the exhaust lower.

This is me. I'll do some measuring to work out my clearance based on yours.
