Uk indicator stalk on US Bus

Uk indicator stalk on US Bus

by atlime » Wed Sep 09, 2015 3:13 pm
I'm having the usual nightmare I'm sure with old busses! :bounce:

My 67 US bus came with a new ish indicator stalk partly fitted and various bits of wiring loose.

We have so far managed to get everything working except the stalk doesn't work in the left turn.

We have converted the back lights to UK spec along with the wiring so they are fine and have amber rear flashing lights now. The only problem is this lovely piece of reproduction tat stalk still won't work correctly.. (Won't stay in the left turn position)

So...I have bought a stalk from a 67 bus but turns out its a UK spec on with 6 wires rather than the 9 I was expecting.

Does anyone know a way to wire a UK stalk onto US bus?
Do I need to junk the 9 wire relay and go to the relays used on UK busses?

Many thanks in advance :)
