Electric fuel pump

Electric fuel pump

by knightj05 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 7:36 pm
Hi thinking of going for an electric fuel pump, just looking for recommendations for what one to go for? Also general opinions in terms of whether stick to mechanical or go electrical?

Thanks

I would suggest it depends on engine size which to go for? I was looking the other day on here and searched '1641 fuel pump' that brought up a good bit of info

I have a Huco pump which works fine http://www.gowerlee.dircon.co.uk/HUCO.html it's the 14v engine bay one on the link.

I'm running twin dell'ortos.

Hi,

What ever pump you choose I would run a decent fuel pressure regulator,

we now sell Filter Kings, which are ace and have a great filter element too:

If you're running idf's the best pump to use is the CB rotory one with the fuel pressure pre set at 3.5psi which is ideal. It comes with a very good quality pre filter fitted too. Machine 7 were the cheapest recently.
