King and link pins

King and link pins

by Ukrobotman » Sat Mar 19, 2016 5:47 pm
Can anyone advise me about how to asses the state of King and link pins.
I've stripped my 62 and am now looking at front spindles, King pins and link pins. The problem is I'm not experienced in being able to asses what state these are in and if I need to replace anything. Can anyone tell me what procedure you use to work out excess play etc, what to look for. Or failing that who I can send them to that has more experience than me to tell me
Who refurbishes these complete units?

You should have checked for play before you took them off the bus, difficult to detect when off, unless completely knackered
