Speedo doesn't work
Speedo doesn't work

Original speedo fitted, new cable but no reading when driving. Removed cable from hub, connected electric drill to test and needle moves to about 30mph, re-connect to hub no reading when driving, though odometer does move. Any ideas?

How fast is the drill spinning? If it's quite speedy then the needle should be off the scale. You can spin it by hand and get up to 30mph.
They are quite easy to take apart so you could have a look inside. The needle mechanism and the odometer are separate.

Looks like I'll have to take it apart then as drill was full speed and only got 30mph
