i am after fitting some sort of impact protection in the front of my van, was thinking of just welding something in but unsure what to fix it to as i dont want to block the doors. Any suggestions on what not to do, got a friend who is a blacksmith who can bend it any shape. so any suggestions of what would work best welcome.

Having failed to post digital piccies due to operator error and lack of know how - my van with the cage in front cab will be a Vic farm and Stamford to display my "non stock" approach to safety. It is a '65 Dormobile, Cambridge Blue, slammed, on Empi's. I'll bring contact details for those intersted.

on thursday as i brought my van home, coming around a corner and idiot on some sports motoerbike was "getting his knee down" on a sharp bend, wobbled and was headingf STRAIGHT at me, now in my golf i would be pretty safe, he would bounce over the top of the roof and i would have hopefully been fairly safe, but in the van, it got me thinking and scared me a little as i have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter

just to let peeps know, i have spoken to a chappie in our club and he has made roll cages for buggies etc, so last night i had a word with him to see if he could make a saftey cage for my splitty. he is going to have the bus over at his work shop to make the templates etc and they see about making it. if he does it and it does the job, i will post pics up for all to see. the reason i'm having this done is, i have a 2 year old son and i want to provide as much saftey for him when he is in the bus.
