Ok, im really buggered.
I have lost my keys to my van. The locks are all on different keys so now might be a good time to sort that as well. For now the van is unlocked and im having to hotwire it to start it. Not ideal! Anyone know where i can get either some new keys cut or some new locks all round!

I just paid £238 odd quid, I’m an auto locksmith but all mine were on different profiles so I count have re-keyed them if I’d wanted to.
Custom and commercial have been very helpful for my toting, at a cost obviously

Old post dug up?
Get a key cut to match one of the numbers on one of your locks and change all the tumblers on the others to the key.
You will have one key for all and only the cost of a key and a few tumblers. It's a nice and satisfying job to do.

But if the locks are mixed, the key form that slides into the barrel are different. Early locks EFDVZ codes all the same profile up to end of ice pick handles 64MY then push button 65/66 MYs T code and 67MY L code.
May even have beetle pull handle coded barrels on ice pick handles.
Need to check what the mixed handles are..

But when stripping down look for evidence that no one has been in there before you and redifferred the barrel to match a key and not scratched through the marked/ stamped code!
My favourite barell I came across worked fine with any of my T code keys.. a PO/ fiddler had removed all the differs so it could be used... with all VW T profile keys..
