help explaining vin number

by stcos85 » Sat Jul 18, 2009 8:16 pm
I went to see a 15 window yesterday which has this vin plate attached behind the seat

Can someone confirm that I haven't got this wrong but this plate looks to be for a walk through panel van when what I looked at was a 15 window with a bench seat

If it is a converted panel then it seems to have been done very well

How much work is involved in converting a walk through to a bench type seat?

There is also the number stamped in the back to the right of the engine but I couldn't make out the details on the plate at the back. I am going to get the owner to clean that up

Has there been any previous occurences of a van getting the wrong id plates as the numbers all seem to be right or is this just a case of someone converting a panel?

seen some more pics now and the chassis numbers match on all the plates. It seems its the M code info that is the issue and not the chassis number

Has anyone heard of this bfeore?
