Hi.
Could someone tell me if early and late bay irs stub axels are the same ? My early stub axels have damaged threads.

Very early stub axles are a little longer in the castleation(sp?) area

Correct, wide 5 stub axles of 67>70 bays longer than the later narrow 5 stuff. Look up the pictrues on the Creative Engineering site under their IRS parts description page
