Asset Recovery Unit - Tracker

That's excellent!! I like the sound of your device reporting a location, before the Tracker. Can it be monitored by the owner via a webpage?
Does the price include fitting? Or have we got yo fit?
I like the sound of it all, the guys at work regularly plug in the tracker blocker of their van, allowing them to be at home when they are not supposed to be.
I for one would be interested in trying, would like to be able to monitor my van myself as well though.

Real time situation = a client has a Lexus GS stolen 2 weeks ago, 2 devices attached, 1 x tracker 1 x our device. Yesterday our device reported the location of the vehicle is Oman. Tracker not reported for 5 days now!
Not a good situation for the owner but the device is proving a lot of its features at the moment:
Worldwide location reporting
even if the battery was disconnected for the time car was in a container our device still has power
We are now working on a plan to recover the vehicle...great real time exercise for us guys.
Assuming the Lexus owner reported it stolen, did you or he not make an attempt to locate the vehicle? If so, did this attempt fail?

Hi Tony73tt and apologies for my delayed response (annual leave)
The price does include fitting and activation.
Currently we monitor each individual device/asset via our hosting site (Zelitron), at this stage we don't have a personal log in for each customer who works with us, however an APP is in development for this as that is the feedback we are getting.
At the moment whatever data you require we can give you via phone/ email.
It may be easier for you and I to talk if you wish via phone?
As always my number is 07901513172.

Hi split999
The lexus owner was on holiday at the time of theft, he only noticed his vehicle was gone on returning to his property, by that time his vehicle had already been to Felixstowe and left for Oman in a container.
EXCELLENT NEWS
The Lexus has been recovered in Uganda and with our device has also led to the International Crime Agency find 9 other vehicles that had been stolen to order!!
3-4 weeks now on a container and we have the vehicles back in the UK.
As you can imagine JLR are now asking us for a meeting to discuss the device.
We as a company were on BBC Claimed and Shamed Episode 1 last week and they along with other programmes want to be at Felixstowe to report and showcase the story and success behind recovering these vehicles!!
Point to note- the Lexus Was fitted with a normal hard wired tracker that when the vehicle was first reported stolen we checked for location and it wasn't producing any results, yesterday (after nearly 5 weeks) the normal tracker sent a signal-obviously it now makes sense that the thieves had disabled the vehicles battery while it was being moved via the container. When main battery attached it has powered back up the tracker. If our device wasn't there we would now be 5 weeks behind the vehicle.

If any of you are readers of the Independent then keep an eye out for APU Ltd and the success we have just had with locating and recovering 36 stolen prestige vehicles that were fitted with our device and had been stolen in the UK and shipped to Uganda.
Currently working on an industry briefing to all the major insurance companies who are now chasing us for a partnership.
I still believe our device would be a great fit for your split screens

Afternoon all
what sort of numbers are we looking at as part of a group buy?
We may be able to sort something if the volume is a decent number.
Not a problem if the numbers are not that high but if we can work something together then great for all.
thanks

A few months ago I mentioned that we at APU were working with a client who had his Lexus stolen, his vehicle was quickly put on a container and shipped abroad. Using our technology, team in the office and relationship with the National Crime Agency we successfully tracked the vehicle all the way to Kampala in Uganda. Here we found a large number of other stolen vehicles that are now all on their way home.
Worth a read for all.....

I must add my tupence worth. I would not get another tracker fitted, due to its un-reliability. I had one fitted to a very expensive British car, owned by my boss, all the bells and whistles. Included subscription fees for as long as he owned the car, so it was quite expensive, over a thousand pounds. That was back in 1998 when it was a request by the insurance company. The car is constantly garaged and has only done 6.5K miles from new and is on trickle charge and occasionally driven to keep the joints moving. Approximately 3 years later, I noticed that one of the tyres, tight against the garage wall was very low and went to start it to take it out of the garage to put air in it and inspect it.
The car would not start as the battery was dead due to the fuse failing in the chargers plug and not noticed. A couple of us decided to push it slowly out of the garage and into the adjoining car port. Done the repairs and put it back in the garage. A few days later I realised that Tracker didn't contact me to say that the car had been moved. I called them and they said that that model has been replaced by a new model and they would send out an engineer. Another 2 days later the engineer came out and confirmed that the unit was discontinued and OUT OF WARRANTY
What frigin warranty, I told him its not an IPhone that I have to keep up with the latest models. And he could not even tell me HOW LONG it had not been working. So I had to fork out for another LATEST model as required by the insurance company. And to date, I don't even know if its on or not.
I must do a demo on it and see if they contact me. Not happy at all, and would not even fit one if it was given to me.

But this is the same story you pointed everyone to in your previous post!
A slight whiff of scaremongering and shameless plugging?
