Out of all the campers probably the early westfalia SO23 model is the most desirable and sought after. So when I got a chance to get my hands one on I couldn't stop myself from having it . Story goes its a one owner vehicle ,used for camping trips but whilst on one of these trips some 20 years ago a spare can of petrol tipped over and started a fire in the rear of the bus. Luckily the fire was put out but had burned the wardrobe and the rear headliner and the heat and melted one of the clam shell lights and butty box . The rest managed to escape pretty much without damage.It still has most of its goodies including childs cot Privvy tent roof rack water tank etc.It is mostly og paint never welded never crashed everything on the bus is original to the vehicle when it left the factory A resto was started but never finished so it sat in his barn until now. It has been trailered some 1700 miles across the USA from North Dakota to Linden NJ awaiting shipment to Southampton. Hope you like the pictures

Not much to add , only to say managed to get 'Mr Mortimer' back safe and sound .Used A different shipping company this time very helpful and a lot cheaper than Kingstown. It pays to shop around !! Made a list of the few parts missing ie bullet indicators , back lights and a couple of Sigla windows .A trip to Busfest sorted that.
