1965 Single Cab
by bigbulli » Sun Apr 18, 2004 5:23 pm
Bought this after a couple other buses fell thru, orignal paint sold it to me. I wanna end up with a mostly original paint bus, bit of primer here and there, I'd really like to detail the underneath to as new (not sure why but...), stock height as it will be a work horse...

Sorry Tim won't be at Stonor, Bristol Volksfest and Vanfest are likely to be the only ones I make this year due to other commitments.
Something to look at, that sounds interesting!

Well it might be the hottest day but we were there working on the pick up, thought I'd get away with some project managment today however Dad had other plans so I ended up doing most of the welding and all of the cutting, guess I shouldn't have worn a t-shirt as my arms got all burnt up!!!
Floor finished, inner sill in place
Outer sill cut and first test fit, not bad, lots more to do to get it sitting right. I also cut out the rusty corner of cab floor which ended up with me removing the bottom of both dog legs and a-posts as they are toast!!!

I hear what your saying! Now Dad can be my 'Bee-atch' cutting, fabricating panels and holding / clamping stuff in place and I will be the renegade welding master (well maybe with a bit more practice), in fact I just bought myself a new welding helmet the arc activated type, very cool!!! Ebay rules, got it for £36.00, brand new and in the box!
