1955 RHD 23 Samba Project !

A rather interesting and exciting Bus has entered the workshop as a long term project with a capital "P" thought some of you guys would like the low down on it so heres a few pics!
Its a 1955 "apparently 1 month away from a Barndoor" RHD 23 Samba found in a forest in sweden and has the scars to prove it few impacts from falling trees across the side roof and front,Bullet hole in the long side, no running gear and next to no chassis.
The Breif is to retain as much of exsiting original paint and panels as possible and paint match any repairs,traditionally we do shiny vans so its a good job that here at Border we are up for a challenge bring it on! will update as we progress on here and the website, over and out.

Did this come via FBI? They had similar in a few months back but can't remember if it was this early?

Love the Alfa Laval tailgate, didnt know they used splits.
