1950, 10w Kombi

Well, some of you on here will already know about this, and some more of you will have been wondering why I have been selling some busses recently, especially El Greenio! So, here is the reason:
I have been lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to own this very early Kombi, and circumstances panned out in such a way that everything worked out so the deal could happen. A lot of people were involved in the various stages of the deal, some knowingly, some not until now probably! But I have to say a big thank you to everyone involved, you know who you are.
So, on Friday I started on the 1100 mile trip to collect it. The photo above was taken a short distance on the return journey when I stopped to check the straps... and have a cheeky little sit in the drivers seat! Passing drivers thought I looked odd though, so I hopped back into the T5 to carry on driving after a little while
Just love this view:
Lots more details/photos/updates to come, but thats it for now, cant wait to get stuck into it and get it ready for Hessich!!

Nice luggage divider
I am glad you have 'real' friends and not ones that would do you over (you find out who is a real mate when you find a barndoor...).
Whats the history? Did you get 4 wheels or any spares??
Cheers,
Dom.
