Looks like this was a Canterbury Pitt - dent above the spare wheel well gives it away !!

I I didn't even know what a Canteberry pitt was till just now

Had to google it

I've always wondered why the dent above spare wheel

Would have had a full length shelf across that - hence the dent being straight across.

Good spot, I didn't even notice that.
Have a look in the Canteebury Pitt section on here or my thread in Rides and Projects and that will show you what the interior would have looked like.
It's quite unusual for a Pitt to have a solid roof.
Your interior re-trim looks very well done, love the style of those cushions - good choice dude.

Decided to start stripping the engine today

Did a few hours work first thing but the rain didn't stop so good excuse to work on the bus

Gonna strip it down
Major clean up
Tin I'm spraying with high temp paint
Gonna change the exhaust
Carb rebuild
New points leads n plugs

So after spraying up all the tin I set to putting it all back together.
When I get to fitting the belt back on I realised it was hugely slack. Even after adjusting it all I couldn't get it tight and was slipping

Loads of play in it

Ordered a new belt
There was quite a bit of difference between them , I'm assuming the old one was incorrect or stretched

Whilst it's off I rebuild the carb
