Installed the drivers rear wheel arch and support frame sections

Re welded the D post sections to the rear hatch panel.

Put the rear corners on and rear tailgate

Removed the new roof inner support sections from the roof.

Started to install the roof support frame on the bus.

Placed the air box on the support frame with front roof vent section.

Then put the roof back on and everything else so I can get the gutter lines right.







Still have to make the drivers rear panel section and the passengers rear top section.

Lots to do!

Then painted a buggy for a mate!

Having my Bus Sherry rebuilt with replacement LHD late roof onto a RHD bus 62 bus..I have some of the experinces you are showing...
The bus had been in a very early accident and most of the NS replaced with VW replacement panels...
Lots of the problems you show...I have seen!
Makes me feel warm with the knowledge ..

Well late last year a plan was hatch to get a new roof for the bus and one came up on the market, as sunroof roof.









After a light blast we are left with...,

Front air vent




Air box


Above cargo doors




Front roof section above air box


Centre main area above air box (holes are in an area of one square foot)


Gutters










Plus dents above each support section/samba window and all four corners dented and a few others dents here and there in the roof.

Not a great start to 2016 but we shall plod on.....

Thanks, we are coming to the end of welding now, not much more to do and it's finished.

Well that is quite literally a ground up resto! I hope you client is prepared for the invoice.
