Hey Mark,

I'm doing a wedding on 30th December but other than that I popped him away a few weeks ago.

Haven't done much upgrading recently, just enjoyed having him on the road this summer. Been to some great shows and meets this year, not forgetting Symonds Yat with the SSVC, RSVP's BBQ & the DTA End of Season Meet to name a few in recent months. Looking forward to Vicky Farm again in 2015 too!

Looking to get some new carpets, some tunes and maybe the front seats re-trimmed over the winter/ early spring ready for next season. I'll be sure to share pics when that happens.

It doesn't crack or peel but does take some keeping clean.

It's generally a good product I would say but you do have to stay away from kerbs though as it can scuff and damage. When this happens, you're left with the dilemma of touching it up and having bright white patches, doing the whole tyre again and having one bright white tyre and 3 creamy ones or redoing the lot.

Depends how much of a perfectionist you are!

:D :D UPDATE: :D :D

On course to get all the above done for Vicky Farm.

 Carpets have been templated and just waiting for them to be made.

 Front and rear seats are going in for trimming at the end of the month and due back with me mid-April

 For 'tunes' I have built a rechargeable vintage suitcase boombox

Other things I have been busy with recently:

Installed Pertronix electronic ignition and did a service and after having troubles starting in cold weather found my heat risers on my inlet manifold were both corroded and severely blocked with carbon deposits (common problem apparently). Tried all methods of cleaning/drilling it out without much luck and conceded in the end and bought a new scat/cb one from Machine 7. Fantastic quality, way better than the OG one.

Have also bought some CSP rear discs off Grant (Gruntilla on here) to match my fronts and will fit these soon. Thinking a remote servo will be a perfect addition too when funds allow.

Bring on the Summer!! :D

Surprisingly simple to do too.

No complicated circuitry and cost me about £70 in parts plus a rainy Sunday afternoon :)

Not a lot to see really! There's a small 12v sealed lead acid battery, the tiny amp (the faceplate of which you see on the outside) and wiring for the speakers, stereo jack etc

Old suitcase
Amp (Lepai LP-2020A) - £20ish
Hifi speakers off eBay - £20
Battery is about £15 (but I had one knocking about)
Battery charger £15
Various connectors (say £5)

I almost never post on this forum (not a split owner...yet!) But Damn! This bus is too good for me not to post anything! So there you go, I love your bus! And that retro-looking sound box.... I'm stealing the idea for my old renault! (hope you don't mind!)

Cheers from france,

Dave.

Very kind of you to say Dave :D I love it too, but intend to keep making it better...

If anyone wants a guide to making their own suitcase boombox there's a good site called instructables.com that has some step by step info.

Dropped my seats off at the upholsterers yesterday afternoon. They should be ready for collection week commencing 6th April.

Very excited! :D

My carpet man has been busy with prep for the Volksworld Show and kept me waiting a little but has now promised to do them that same week as my seats will be ready.

With a bit of luck everything will be installed and looking good for Vicky Farm
