Started polishing my bumper trim up, as I've managed to find the last piece and is on its way over from the states!!
Before and after pics, not the same piece but gives you a idea what it might look like.

Nice work pal, do you mind me asking what you are using in the way of polish for those bumper trims, I have a set that look a lot like yours pre polish!! Looking great and love the eye for detail youve got!

Might sound a bit brutal, but I start with 120 grit paper in my small 50mm Orbital sander. I take any of the scratches and deep marks out, I then use wet and dry, starting at 150 down to 2000 grit. After that I have two polishing wheels on my bench grinder, one I use the white compound on and the other I just use for final polish, but to be honest that's not needed as once you use the one with compound it comes up like new,
Sounds like a lot of work, but only takes about a hour and half to do one, main thing is to get all the marks out at first stage with sander. I've included a couple of pics, but the problem I had is my bench grinder wasn't powerful enough, but I've since bought another one different to the photo and works much better

After you've finished with the 2000 wet/dry you get a very nice smooth finish, but very dull. I just kept pressing the compound onto the wheel as it was spinning then polishing the trim a bit at a time

Just ordered a new rear German weave carpet to match the original one that was in my deluxe, turns out he also does armrests as well, so ordered 3 basalt grey ones to match my interior. Well pleased as was really struggling to source them.
