Really nice bus Mick, loads of really nice bits you have with it too. Would fancy it myself if I didn't have another major project on the go!! Or should I say not on the go now

Not had much to report lately but been busy sourcing missing parts and getting other bits and bobs done for the resto. The original engine lid was well toasted ,picked up another SWR engine lid the other day that had been rattle canned blue . Removed the unwanted blue with scotch pad & thinners ( thanks Irvmister for the tip ) and hey presto! Here are some pics of the parts . My plan is to build "MORTIMER" back to a complete bus
TOAST ANY ONE !!!
REMOVING THE OLD VENEER
USED OLD PARTS FOR TEMPLATES
NEW VENEER ON READY FOR VARNISHING

Sent the new veneered flatpack cupboard pieces to be rebated at the joiners shop ready to assemble into the rear larder unit. While waiting for them to come back, varnished the veneered doors and refitted the hinges and gold trim. Stripped the old checked cloth of the rear seats ( MILLION STAPLES!!!!! ) sanded and varnished wood bases ready to take to Steve & Jo at J & S Upholstery for some new checked plaid. Hey Steve make sure you do my seats before getting bogged down with Ricky T's

Great progress on Mortimer.
Having started on making a SO23 and only getting so far getting hold of the templates would really help.
Pokey I realise you have already asked, but I can make an exact copy for you at cost. They'll be made on cnc so they'll be spot on.

Got the rear cupboard back all rebated and back together, just needs the hinges and catches screwing on . I don't think I will use this as I managed to find another one and also the wardrobe that got toasted in the fire. I also bought the Emka beakers & egg box which again was missing . I think that's about every piece now for the jig saw!
