Started stripping bits off Monday, dash all stripped, had a nightmare with the dash under tray, nearly took a grinder to it but managed to get it out, surprising being so rotton was still proving to be a biatch!!

Shame the roof has lovely patina but I'm afraid with he amount of work the bus needs I don't think it will be a patina ride, gutted though

Hopefully that will keep me busy for a while, should be able to recoup a bit of money back off my old roof and parts of the sides off the new section, dam it's heavy.

What do you reckon prep and paint the roof prior to fitting? I think it will be easier especially the inside!! Etch primer, filler primer, any recommendations for a quality product( I ain't a painter!!)

Great project you have there. I'm just about to start a similar one myself. If you have any lower inner (inside the bus) window frames left after you roof graft, I would be interested!

That front plate is super cool.
I have family in Columbus Ohio.

Don't mess about get it blasted or dipped, for the amount of welding and panel replacement you will do having fresh metal to weld to will save you hours!

Should do really but I don't know what would be left, the only blasters I know do commercial vehicles and are a bit harsh! It's getting someone who is a bit more sympathetic, you offering? You couldn't give me an indication of what I should be paying could ya? Pm me if you like! Cheers.
