Cheers man, we've definitely got a good scene going on in northampton, plenty of helpful people here!
Few more pics
I finally managed to find my self an engine...... Turn key 1300 tp, saw it running Just needed a good clean
So I've got some 1600 B&P's to go on, then its getting a once over, new gaskets etc and fully detailed.
Also got this lot prepped ready for powder coating
And these stripped and primed
Steering box raise
No turning back....
Decided to plate both ends before welding it back in place.
All cleaned up
Trial fit....
And primed!
Well pleased with that, thanks to my mate for welding it all up!!

Got the cargo side finished.....
New quarter
Sill and B post repair, inner and outer of both
Cab step and bumper mount (forgot the finished pic)
Also got my 1300 stripped and pulled the barrels, piston and heads off the razors engine (that's going 2276) to make mine a 1600, after a quick measure it turns out it's actually a 1641 with mahle pistons...... Happy days! That along with a pair of twin 34's I'm using should push the bus along nicely!
And in with the tubs... Thanks to Gav at Trailer Queen Restos for making these up for me....
All done

And this is the last pic for now to bring the thread up to date, all welding complete, except from a couple of chassis notches on the frame rails, that we are going to do tomorrow, and got the front end rust treated, primed and started on the seam sealing today.
Also realised its been 3 months this weekend since i picked it up from the docks.
So stoked at how much we've managed to get done between me and my mate in a fairly short space of time, aiming to have it done for the volksworld show in march, but we'll see. Also supposed to be using it on our stand (edition38) at ultimate dubs, but might be pushing it a bit for that one.

Managed to get a load done today.....
Got all the primer and seam sealing completed yesterday,
And then made a start on the underseal/stonechip this morning.
And got a bit of spare time to do my mates ghia pan in black....
And a little comparison to 2 months back when i first got the rotisserie.....
Time to go and have a drink....

Nice work.....
That'll keep it nice and dry,
Just goes to show if you want to do the underneath the old spit don't half make it easier.
Good progress

Well it was supposed to be painted last Saturday, but I wasn't happy with the colour mixed up direct from the paint code, it looked far too bright, so I took a piece of painted metal that I chopped out from the tubs and had it mixed up from that......
This is how it ended up
So much better, painted a swatch out and it's spot on, just a bit shinier

My uncle came round last weekend with his painting gear and layed some colour on.....
Gearbox ready
Loom tidied up and pulled back through.
And my mate made a tool to split the spindles on a press
Safety first.....
Dual circuit master cylinder from t2d
And cleaned and painted steering box!

Cheers guys, time for another update.
TransporterHaus straight axle kit
And unfortunately this isn't mine, but we mocked up my mates turbo set up on my engine earlier. It will be going on a 2276cc lump for his razor edge. Twin 44's, charge cooled and a massive turbo.
Fitted
Built the box up
Spindles split, grinded, painted and ready to be pressed back together with new seals
Off the spit
Spindles, flipped and painted with new seals, pressed back together.
And finally back on its wheels
Tucking some big ass tyres, but you get the idea
