Yeah I wish the end of the month! I can always dream.
Got on and did abit tonight. Bit of spanner work for a change, dropped the beam out and steering box out ready for primer.
Also dug the OG beam out as it's in for surgery over the weekend to narrow it 5 1/2 inches install and raise the steering idler.
Today's deliverys!
Also realised I need to get the air duct back under the cab floor. Job for tomorrow.

Well guys no work on the bus today! So no progress updates. Work got in the way. Beam end plates arrived though so that's good news for the weekends plans.
Karl F the Tap pictured is a 3/8 NTP for the full flow job on my case. I normally buy my spark plug repair kits from Wurth they are made by Time Sert very good quality.
Cheers Wejjy hope to be ready for paint by the end of the month however still lots to do!

Very cool build, have read the whole thing now.
Have you decided on the final colour yet?
Could go with an old Porsche colour to go with the wheels. Or if the wheels are staying with a black centre, you could go white with a black roof/bumpers/badges/window frames and some kind of "speedshop" signwriting on the sides. it's quite fun spending other peoples money!

Final colour will be Dove blue with matting agent, wheel centres will be polished with black highlights. Not sure on bumpers yet maybe black.
Late at work again tonight, but managed to get some tinker time in.
Cleaned up the cab air ducting and installed ready for tacking in tomorrow.

Parts ready for the beam building tomorrow.

Saturday night update then, fun filled day of cutting, grinding more cutting and grinding abit of welding and lots of measuring.
First off I chopped up a perfectly good beam.
Then cut up a pair of beam end plates.
Trimmed the inner chassis lip away so the plates sit flush
Trial fit
Next up I modified the lower arms so the shocks will clear the chassis legs.
Out of mig wire today so welding commences Monday!
Had some time so tapped the oil pump for a 3/8 bung.

Evening guys, had a good couple of hrs on the beam build tonight.
Got the tubes cleaned up today, also had the torsion bars centres turned down slightly to allow better movement.
Got the tubes tacked back together with the side plates on.
Got the adjusters marked up and one drilled.
More tomorrow.
