Yep, looks almost as bad as mine did 2 years ago mate!! And like you say getting parts I found to be near impossible. Well worth it in the end though, mines had a new chassis now so if you need any help just let me know ...

Continued the strip out of Uncle Puck today..
Roof liner down, this was a incredibly messy job the original foam lining had turned to dust and was absolutely everywhere, emptied the hoover twice!
Took the door card of to see how bad it was underneath and it was pretty much as expected, the only bit that might need attention is the bottom steel.
Took the kitchen and wardrobe out
Took the vinyl wall covering off
Obviously been leaking badly here too! majority of the windows wooden frame has rotted away
Then took up the 'new floor' the previous owner sold to me lol wasn't expertly fitted and wasn't exactly weather proof
This is how it looks now
The bottom edge tubes are actually much better then the middle ones corrosion wise, but I think thats because the bottom edge tubes aren't original, they haven't been welded on very well in my opinion and some actually look to be alloy and not steel.
Next job.. the laborious job of taking the alloy belts off the outside which basically involves probably a hundred rusty corroded screws with no heads

Blimey you really are going to town on this one huh? It's amazing how bad these can be once stripped to the bare bones. Mine was left in long grass with the door open for years, not ideal ...

Worst job ever today! Removing the belt trim.. Spent a whole day and managed just the bottom (as it was pop riveted) and a small section of the middle.. The top one forget it! Killed two screw drivers bought some cobalt bits that didn't touch the screws.. they are simply so corroded there is no head or anything to grip onto yet seem hard as nails to drill. I have a dremel and can grind them flat but that doesn't hell as the screws are counter sunk.. Any tips people?
Having a closer look at the chassis it deffo had work before.. at a very poor standard.
I wondered why there was such a big gap between the floor and the door, and that because some idiot welded this way, also check out they way they 'curved' the front pieces instead of using a bender.. also the bottoms of the arch tubs..
Also to top the good news off I found a load of bodge on the bottom of the one of the panels so its probably going to need reskinning too
WHAT THE HELL HAVE I DONE BUYING THIS PUCKING PIECE OF CRAP

Depth breath Paul.
Ok so you've come this far.
it looks to me like it going to be a full on resto, but look on the bright side. It seems to me these are a very simply construction.
If you can use a drill, rivet gun , maybe a welder then your pretty much there.
If there's Ali sheets that are damaged then take them off as carefully as you can and take them to a metal work shop. I recon £100 and you'll get a nice shiney piece back that you'll rivet / screw on and away you go.
take care of any rust on the frame and you'll have a nice solid Eriba Puck shell to start with, get a floor in and make sure that it sealed against the elements.
insulate, panel, make some cabinets for kitchen and bed and it's done.
Its not a complicated project if you take it in stages - relax and enjoy it.

Had two family weddings and the Mrs' Bay needed new tyres and a exhaust so been absolutely skint this month and had no time to play.. now the weathers turned looks like I'm going to have even less time to play..
Been struggling with the exterior trim on the Mother Pucker, the screws are rusted solid and the philips heads have nothing to grip onto, tried drilling them but by drill bits don't seem to touch them. I read up on impact drivers (manual hand tool version) and managed to get a few out until it shattered the philips bit grrr,,
but finally found a technique that works around 80% of the time
rusted heads
cut a slot on the screw head with the dremel
Impact driver I got from halfords
After smashing the philips bit I think the hammer I was using was a bit too much for it so opted for the rubber mallet.. so far so good
Sometimes the driver breaks the heads other times they screw out nicely
two thirds of the centre trim removed wahoo
The original colour under the trim is very yellowish almost magnolia.. my intention is still pearl white thou
Removed the front acrylic window.. pretty much fell out! I have somewhere in mind that can hopefully make me another as this one is very crazed
Other good news is I sourced a rear glass window and all the fittings, new set of rubber seals and red insert trims from Eribasar.de which luckily Heiner is holding for me till I get paid at the end of the month
Hopefully I can get the rest of the trim of now I have finally sussed a technique and can remove the aluminium skin so I can repair the frame

I love watching these Eriba threads unfold.... once you start with the "I'll just look here" scenario, its into a new build. But if its going to be done, you may as well do it as best as possible!

I have grown quite affectionate of this little Pucker despite its problems. Purely from a aesthetic point of view I love the fact its an early one, been following an Eriba Puck page on Facebook and love seeing them being pulled all around the world by different classic cars, pics from a big classic Mini show recently had loads of them camping out together

Had a full day on Puck Rogers and managed to get ALL the trim off using the dremel slot and impact driver technique.. slow work but its done now
Rear window frame and surround off
The original paint is so creamy.. very tempted to paint it the original colour instead of pearl white.. mmm
The fibre glass roof is now unattached and I can remove it completely now when the time comes.. Next is removing the alloy sheets so I can repair the frame. I really think that I may need to replace some of the sheet, found some dodgy areas with bodge and some very thin areas where the sheeting has corroded
Also going to strip the paint of the Walter Winterhoff hitch, the original tag is still on the hitch but its been painted over any tips of getting the white paint off without ruining the original tag paint?

Its looks pretty reasonable to me for £1500, It looks like a later one which has textured skin although they usually have square rear lights so a bit of a strange one.
This is a good pic of the OG colour
