Well so far I have 9 stinkin hours in the rear right hand corner. Didn't bother posting last week as it was just bigger and bigger piles of dust, but almost there now so thought I would pop it on.
Process goes like this, lard it up, rub it all back off, lard it up, rub it off again, etc etc, its great fun...NOT!!
Thanks to Markp I actually have an incling of an idea what to do, so...
Lard...
Rub and lard again...
Then guide coat...
Rub until all the guide coat is gone...
Then stand back and admire the extra inch on your shoulders, and the smooth back end of your bus!
Hoping to be completely in primer by this time next week, we shall see!!

Hi Paul
SNAP! Our rear ends look very similar
It's a time consuming and mind numbing job. Just be thankful that it's you doing it and that you're not paying body shop rates for someone else to do the same thing
As with most jobs, the condition of the "seen" finished article is reflected in the "unseen" preparation. It will all be worth it in the end.
I've got Gary coming tomorrow to cast his eye over my recent work

Sooo, been saving up piccies for this, ive been working flat out on the bus for a few days now, sanding and filling!! Its got more lairs of filler than even Mary Berry can cope with, most of which now reside on the floor, such a tedious job but so worth it!!
So summary of the week goes like this...
Fill low patches...
Make sure other corner is ok, it wasnt so I filled it at least 3 more times.
Sand down the previous application of primer with 320 and panel wipe
Crack out he DA and 320 everything in sight...
Took me about an hour to get over the vibes from the DA, had no blood in my fingers, almost as bad as riding a big cc single for hours!! Whitefinger!!
Mix these up and leave them to stand for 10mins whilst grinning with anticipation...
I actually needed two more so ended up using 6 altogether!! Shocker!!
But its been worth it!
I know its only primer and its dull and grey, but I am one happy chappy and so is Vicky, light at the end of the never ending tunnel
Boom! Just got the dash to do now.
Bit of a difference!!
Cheers for keeping me motivated throughout it all guys, owe all a beer for getting me this far!! Cheers

Rumbled! I didn't think you would see my post

Well after seeing you get extra helpers and seeing Vanmanjimmers progress I decided to pull the preverbal out and get on with it!!
Thanks, and Im not really ahead, high build next followed by more sanding which you wont need as yours will be flat to begin with

Cheers pal, seeing yours in paint spurred me on, along with Rusty! Looking forward to seeing your progress over the weekend. I wont be on mine for a while now as Im away with work for a while! Hate it when you get on a roll and then its stopped suddenly

Yeah feels amazing! Certainly took a lot longer than planned but now its there I really don't care how late it is, I love it!! Just got a couple of little spots that are showing up as low to sort and then its blocking time and paint!
Might top coat the chassis first and get it down onto its wheels.
Cheers for the bodywork tips in your thread, used them and rusty's a lot over the past few weeks!
Cheers pal
