Next up rear bumper repairs as someone had cut it in a previous life also it was missing a mounting.

Squared it up to start with then made a repair section.

Mounted up the new splash pans to assist with mounting location.

Fitted to mark the holes in the corners.

Also finished up the front bumper mount by fully welding did a trial fit and altered alignment.

Image

Image

Made a start on cab door prep started on the replacement door which seems to have rather a lot of paint on it! 8 layers!

Thinking paint stripper to much for the DA!

More soon, need it in top coat before the weather turns so full steam ahead!

Cheers Vwstu. Picked up a can of Starchem Synstryp today also enquired about the top coat for inside and out. Got it mapped out so will get that sorted this week.

After work I made a start on stripping the R/H door of all of its paint and filler. I can't actually believe how much is on there still got more to go! However mostly down to what's left of the OG layer of dove blue.

Nothing over the weekend bud! Had to go to work Am sat then had family stuff the rest of the weekend. Late finish last night and tonight at work! I've got bus withdrawal.

Turbo is a Borg warner Schwitzer S2 for now once it's up and running I might look at upgrades.

Evening guys,

Great progress on the bus today. Test fitted the rear lights to check the holes were the right size.

Image

All good so on to the next jobs, final welding jobs today, weld holes in passenger door, repair front panel, fill hole in roof and drill rear corners for splash pans.

Image

Image

Image

Sorted all that. Next on the list was prepare and etch the front panel dash and a pillars.

I'm not going to be applying any filler only high build primer.

Lastly the underside has been flatted back ready for a final primer coat before top coat.

Image

Holiday as of Thursday next week so hope to get it in top coat before the end of the month!

Evening,

Had a very productive day today, had already done some blasting earlier this week hinges fuel flap column support.

Image

Keyed the etch primer up on the shell and gave it a few coats of high build.

Still had some time so decided to make a start on the colour.
