Fantastic Bren. And I admire a man who can work in such a tight space!

Cheers guys and yes nige it is cramped, although to be honest not to bad bud ooooo for a double garage side by side not like mine end on end and rammed with building gear.

All rubbed down cleaned and 2nd coat of high build.

Gutter rail treated so can now seam seal it.

Previously inner section of windows were covered with fabric but plan is to be just paint. Unfortunately it was a real mess so a few repairs to make sound but needed filler to tidy up.

Image

So bus shifted back across and cargo area work, majority is already done so hopefully can get in high build over the weekend.

Rusty Lee bed now on order and due in 2-3 weeks, also managed to get a left hand rear corner bowl. No joy on r/h side so may have to repair that for now and replace another time.

I had some guys around today to quote for fitting elec doors to the cave ( thought I'd spoil Gerry ) hehehehe anyway I was very embarrassed about the state of the cave ..... couldnt spot myself from apologising again and again and again

Keep going buddy ... soon be onto the fun paint O'clock   :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

A fellow builder from Kent who has to juggle building tool, space against bus space in a single garage!

My mixer lost and lives in the garden under a tarp and the large chopsaw hangs in the utility room on the wall!

Looking good!

Spent a few hours de gluing head liner area of cab first this morning around frame areas, then a quick rub down & in etch primer.

Image

Then high build primer time, unfortunately looks same old same old on pics. But as they say pics or it didn't happen.

Dug out cargo doors

Image

After a shift around moved bus forward making space for rear and next job the rear corner's

Image

Still got to clean glue off inner part of roof which will be an arse.

Image

Rear valance and engine lid to sort.

Image

So plenty to keep me busy on both quiet & noisy jobs but getting closer to colour..

No issue just akward scraping / de pealing some form of evostick above your head. When I took headliner down revealed a real thick fluffy type sound deadening which I removed to check behind but intend to re use.

Image

Roof looks rusty but is actually the glue although small rust spots in a few places so need to remove and treaty prior to being covered for another 50 years.

I had felt pads over cab... also saved them but I fitted some BMW m5 pads...Like markp all over my remaining area of roof..For sound deadening

Does the glue have to come off Bren? I suppose if you're painting it does, but....

Mmmm other than treating a few areas seems you guys have saved me a job. :)

Not alot done tonight finishing shift at 6 then round to a customers house finalising a few bits on there extension we start in April so left me an hour to kill. Grrrrrrr

Stripped lower corner of paint and luckily in not to bad a shape.

Image

Few dents as expected and some not so discreet repairs but seemingly rot free so plan to make good till I can get some repair panels and re doo possibly in a year or so.

Image

Image

Short n sweet tonight.

Tomorrow get cooked at work in live fire flashover and back draft training but hopefully finish early and can hit the cave..
