Cheers mark getting closer, still long job of flatting back primer but light is now a dim glow in the distance rather than behind me now..
Short day on saturday with nothing picture worthy as it was just rubbing down and prep work but today on the other hand.
Space heater fired up and got the cave cooking which allowed complete o/s , engine bay & rear corners to be etch primed as required and then 2 good coats of high build.
At this stage is another milestone as completed full 360 of bus inside and out & ready to flat back seam seal and another high build prior to top coat.
Next job a couple of small dents on the roof and high build that which is job for evenings this week..
Feeling real happy as nearly all repairs are done.
Oh and back still now only hurts which is a massive improvement to collapsing any time I tried to move..

Cheers guys, mmm like a pro not really as learning every day so more an armature having great fun. Working fast hell yeah deadline approaching real fast so yep hands going speed of bee's wings.
Roofing today which always makes the back ache so not the greatest day followed by another chiropractic session. Still feeling very bruised with little twinges every so iften reminding me I'm at the limit so take it easy.
Mmmmm roof by day roof by night and itching for cave therapy as I just can't sit still but did take it easy really.
As mentioned before the roof want to bad so only a few areas so two small defects on rear done
Front was good
Small area in the middle needed some heat to sort after fighting me for a while, area skimmed just needs sanding tomorrow and then ready to high build.
Whilst waiting for filler to dry started flatting back high build with corner looking good already, still plan for another coat.
That was me for tonight.

Not a Devon but similar, its a caravan skirt rail & way longer going virtually whole length of bus.
Cost £15 & went that route as our kyham awninig is then fully supported and keeps gutters clear so we remain dry.

Was first time at this sort of thing and had plenty to think about as wasn't sure what I actually needed for strength or how much I could strip back from cut I had purchased. Sorry no pic of cut but seemed like whole engine bay as still had shock mounts & all frame work.
I left the front and rear cross members in to add strength from side to side.
Along the sides removed metal just back to frame so had roughly a 1" lip which sat on old top of existing top panel. Stick showing rough position.

At the front cut just in front of catches so to retain frame strenghner.

Made it an ass to then match up ribs as they were both totally different but was to late as hole was then to big. Heinsite would of cut to 1" lip like sides and then make a strenghner and re attach catches.
Underside view , for this cut back square section and attached to strenghner.

Last pic shows original vertical strut just tweaks back and supports edge of frame giving support front to back.
For rear section stick shows frame

I cut and joined further back to add another strenghner

And joined into square section like front.

As said before heinsite would of gone to just frame size and 1" lip as making tidy would of been fr easier but as a novice was lacking insperation on how to achieve it. But grand scheme of things it will be never seen as under seat pads etc.

Your welcome just shame I didn't take any pics before, normal me got carried away and stuck in.
My og eBay win turned up today, not to keen on the colour but that's an easy fix
And will look mighty fine in its new hole compared to the massive hole that was there after previous owners hacked out entire radio plate.
Finished off roof repair and almost can't see it so high build for the weekend.
Only an hour tonight though as hollie and sam went to pictures leaving myself n San with quality time. Lol enough said laters.
