Thanks Mick, will have a go at splitting it down over winter, ready for when it goes back on the road in time for the spring.

Not posted anything for a few weeks, Got the camper seating back from J & S top job !! Built up the cab door tops with new rubber (absolute nightmare job) good job my son Luke was at hand before I reached out for the sledge hammer. Finished a couple of cupboards and table after re veneering the faces and treating them to a few coats of varnish and cleaning all the ivory trim with good old astonish.

Had a few hours on the cargo door vanity unit . Gave the new veneer a few thin coats of varnish, had a new mirror cut as the backing on the og one had gone around the edges. found a good way to stretch the shrunken trim back ,gave it a few mins in the Aga oven makes it really soft and pliable . Also used Cillit Bang !! on the hinges fetched them up sweet.

Also started getting the trashed ice box back together and ready for some new limber veneer. Removed the bars for the seat backrests and the brackets ready for sand-blasting and a new coat of Pearlwhite. Might be able to get away with sanding the sides of the seat bases to get rid of that dark stain and varnish by the PO, If unsuccessful I'll reveneer.

Had a set back with the new veneer on the closet . After a coat of varnish it lifted the glue and it left the sides with large air bubbles. It needed to go in the press like the doors , so it was completely taken apart to flat pieces and redone with new veneer under the press, which also heats up to set the glue quicker. Had a new mirror cut to shape and holes drilled at Barnsley Glass Co very reasonable at £15.00. Cleaned all the trim and refitted .
