Hi guys so tomorrow is my day for taking off the beam. Any tips or things to watch out for? Any threads on here that talk through a beam refurb? Tks J

Ok so got the beam off without much trouble, I did only spot the gear shifter until it went clunk!
Also getting to the interesting part of cutting the cargo floor out. Can someone advise how to cut out this final piece without knackering the arches and back? It's all solid. Tks

So today was the tranny out day and it all popped out fine. Looks good and solid. Managed to get one of the Spring plates and torsion bars out.
I have a couple of questions, how do I get the brake tube supports off? I have got the pipe side off but can't seem to budge the bit attached to the bracket.
Also the band brake will not budge, any suggestions welcome!
Back for an hour tomorrow if I can get some advise! Thanks

if you mean the rubber hose, its held on with a horseshoe clip, you just tap it off with a screw driver (it will rotate round to get a better angle), its sort of like a circlip

Then the final strip down before the blast.

So jump straight to the blasting now! Popped in today and it's looking good. Lots of little holes in addition to the holes I expected. Hope to get it back on Saturday for a close inspection and. AHS order!

Hi folks. She is back and I have started to plan the first metal replacement. I have looked on some threads for some photos of the cargo door sill with the b and c post bottoms being repaired but not had much luck. I feel like I am trying to do the jigsaw without having the box.
Can anyone post some pics or a link to their thread please? Some photos of the prices below. Also how should the strengthener in the sill be fixed? Thanks

Been awhile but planning and collecting.
I have completed one bit! The fuel tank, blasted, pressure tested and painted! Small victory.....
No me I have a roof for when the time comes....
My fave bus from Avoncroft....
And finally a bit of prep for the family trip to camper jam and France in my running bus.
Bit of welding practice!
Really need to dig into the welding of the ban now!
