7 months later, almost to the day...
A-post panel starts to go in.... with some horrible welding as I get used to my welder again after using a different one for a few months..
Lower hinges had to come out too from the old doors
As someone had done this to the good new door
Trial fitting the jigsaw together again makes it look almost solid...
Aiming for something like this in 2009

Scholfields supplied the inner valance and it fitted perfectly... now, you don't hear that very often when it comes to repro panels... playing with some arches this week... hmmmm....not so perfect...

oh yeah.. though NOT going be be as tidy as your BD. this is strictly a work horse build, ie as stock as possible using the bits and pieces I've kicking around anyway, near stock height etc etc. then no one with worry too much when throwing a ton of logs in the back or the mountain bikes.

It was a bit cold this evening as I was packing up, but during the day its not been too bad. Plenty of layers and keep moving...
Didn't have the camera with me today, but just cleared out some more of the old repairs and prep'd for the large panel to the rear of the wheel arch. Oh, and modified my roll over frame so it now can bolt to the chassis and not need a front beam to be in the way... More cutting tomorrow...
Old Bay window repair panel about to come out
Bay outriggers about to come off
The mess that lay beneath the old dogleg

can beat you in the cold garage stakes. -7 last night for me. Still, I kept warm with my welding torch as I had an inner arch to weld in on my double cab....
Really enjoying seeing your work. Keep going.

This afternoon, the plasma came out to play
Found some more holes the PO had hidden under the incorrect outriggers. You could see from one side of the van to the other through the main chassis rails...
Made a pile of scrap..

Other A-post in now
Inner front valance stitched to the chassis sections
Filled the horrible big hole
B-post in too
Closed up the bottom of the A-post
And the outrigger's on
Then.... ran out of welding gas...
