Having basically finishing the chassis I could turn my attention to the body etc
This is an autocraft sill which has been blasted inside and then protected with rust bullet against future rust - sorry about phone picture again
Lots of checking here - that the doors fit well and the sill is correct etc - also that the floor fits well .
Very happy with the Wolfburg west floors
all lined up and ready for fitting
Next move was to get the short side panel repaired - Lots of slow progress - cooling every weld and grinding after every run.
Inner C post can be welded in - It obviously needs some cleaning but its not going anywhere
Sill going in
Factory looking gaps achieved and all at the right height
C post all cleaned up
The side panel fully welded in and cleaned up !

Time to get the other side in , The owner was very keen to keep as much original metal as possible so a new lower section was added to the long side .
To start with the new panel was located in the correct position with clico fasteners
The the original panel was trimmed to the correct length , the original was also cleaned to give nice metal to weld to.
Once happy with the gaps I could begin tacking in place
slowly the gaps get filled in with tacks
Eventually becoming a continuous weld
This could then be dressed
once happy I could spot weld the bottom of the panel .
The panel was a little off , the front matched with the upper section at the b pillar , but this left it a little short at the back , so a pie cut was made to address the situation and then this was welded up again
Once cleaned back it fits nicely

A little more for you .
Having got the sides in place I wanted to get the bulkhead sorted .
The bottom sections were removed as rotten when the top hats were cut out , so a new section was made from a template and copied to metal - this could then be tacked into place.
Once welded in place it was all dress to look good
The same repair from under the arch
Once repaired I took this so that you can see whats missing still from the B post area
Trying to find the end of the rusty bits - This is now well into the arch and the post is still rotten - major repair required .
Before tackling that one I thought id sort out something that was just annoying me . A little dent on the rear corner , right on my eye line , Good therapy after the bulkhead repair
This had been picked up in its previous life or in transit on the ship I guess . Nothing major but annoying
A light dressing got rid of the worse and a going over with a body file left a clear view of the damage
Working with a dolly and slapping file the area was slowly raised back to where it should be , checking all the time .
Nearly there
A quick go over with the DA and its all but gone - so much better than filler and much better therapy !!!
