Thanks guys,
I would recommend the area we went to as it's stunning and not a huge journey if your going for a week or longer.
Kate and I always play a little game of how many VW campervans will we see during our trip. Kate said ten I said twenty.
(Only real bays and splits as thems the rules!)
Normally I win these things but this time I couldn't believe we did not see one!
The closest we got was a split on a low loader heading towards Cherbourg and a 70's Beetle convertible in Benodet town.
If the game was spot the T4 or T5 the figure would be in the hundreds!

Cool pictures Nick, looks like you had a great week & lovely weather.
We also played the bus game last week. 10 days in Cornwall & only 4 splits! Endangered species or what!

Well the bus is in at my mates place having the work done. Logo's and details all decided. It's go go go.
3-4 weeks work estimated!
Having a full clearcoat done on it after too.
I'm nervous, apprehensive and excited all at the same time!
Cheers

Quite a few ideas given.
Here's a little mock up of the plan.
Also having some stuff done on white panels above the rear arches and a couple of little bits done on the tailgate. The logos are going to be Matt Lacquered to protect them but after seeing what a difference it will make to the panels that need doing it has been decided that the whole bus will need doing due to the change in shade.
There will be metal flake involved! 70's style.
I can't wait to see how it turns out after Dom has finished with it.
Some of his other work can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Crafty-C ... tos_stream
Expect to see a lot more of his work in the future if this all works out well.
Cheers

Should have a poll on this one!
1. 8 8US - Love it (the bus, not marmite)

Those rims look like you robbed them off the A-Team van! And is your missus taller than you?

Lol,
My neighbour actually has an A team van. Gonna try and get a picture of them together soon. The wheels are very similar!
Im actually a bit taller than Kate but she's got better posture than me and is wearing bigger heels! When I wear my heels I'm much taller than her!
Cheers

Wow,
Well its been a long time since I updated this thread.
Needless to say the Marmite bus is still getting used regularly and going strong.
Plans are afoot to build and fit a strong street focused turbo engine but this will not be a quick thing. (Bus is a keeper so no rush
)
Pictures speak a thousand words so here's what's been going on for the last couple of years!
Members will have read a couple of articles about the paint job and my travels around France in the club mag. Hope you enjoyed them.
So last post on here was when I had the Marmite logo's painted on by Dom Von Walheim of Walheims Customs. It still all looks great IMO!
Got some very personalised Buseyes for Xmas 2013
Helping Ali buy his new 1955 buggy
Hanging out with mates in Worthing
Trip over to Ninove 2014
