Looking really good..
As markp will testify...Only you know where the difficult to get correct bits are and where YOU think the less than good bits are..
But we are needs. ...We know what we wanted it to look like...others do not see the issues we see..
Looks marvellous to me...
See told you..
Still keep tempting me..with the WT...
BUT I now have my retrieved tuck n roll 1962 humpbacked bench seat...no going back now...

The thing is, I'd have never have cut up a decent og bus, but mine wasn't, so the walkthrough conversion wasn't such a sin.
Plus its been done right (apart from the seats).

And for breakfast I finished it off!
Looks pretty good (not as perfect as I'd like, but still good enough) after being done by a chancer like myself!

Ah, that's how my seat bases should look!
Where did you get the ribbed rubber (!) sheet from?

ebay. but you can buy them precut for LHD buses. I think C&C do them, but they're made by Wolsburgwest.
Actually, they should be a little different to how I did them. The seperating trim should dip down a bit, but its was too hardto do and my seat backs will have furniture in front of them anyway, so I just did it as a horizontal split.

Mate how did you do the trim around the top of the walk thru seats? I see it includes the stitching. Is this available somewhere or have you had it done? Looks nice.

They're covers that were made by Sewfine who made my seat covers and door cards. I just had to fit them.

Ok, so the front bumper went together fine. It was a new bumper, but my previous towel rail and over riders.
However, the rear just does not want to go back together. I can't tell if everything has got a bit twisted over the past couple of years of them kicking around in my garage. I'll have another go tomorrow, but I may consider getting a new rear bumper.. I've got a while yet before it needs to go on, so perhaps I'll try and take advantage of a deliver to show special offer or something.

I've managed to get one side to fit ok, after some faffing, so I'm thinking it could well be the over-rider on the other side that's causing the issue. So I'm going to order a new over-rider, rather than a new bumper I think...

The good.
The bad.
I've ordered a new over-rider from C&C which will be delivered today. I'll trial fit it and see if it's a better fit. Otherwise, I don't know what I'll do.

This came in the post from Limebug the other day. I was going to send it back as the finishing on it was terrible. They're meant to have a bit of a rough casting, but the finish on it was taking the p15s.
However I decided I'd just tidy and polish it up myself, which I did in my lunch break today. Now looks good enough to be fitted.

Had a decent day working on the bus today.
Knowing that there was a rain shower due at lunchtime, I spent a while indoors finishing the rear bumper and fitting the deluxe trim to it.
Then I went and got the bus out of the garage for the first time this year.
First job was to trim the edges of the front mats. I couldn't get mine to sit right, so have used an edging strip.
Then I finished the passenger pedestal.
Then I fitted the rubber mat in the walk through.
Then I rubbed down the Airbox flap for my ambulance fans as it was awful and gave it an under coat. I'll paint it myself, but if it comes out looking crap I'll have to take it down to the local paint shop.
All in all, quite a productive day.
