Thanks for the comments guys,
All gone to plan so far and on schedule so at least I won't be rushing to refit it. First wedding for this bus is May.
Hi Jon,
Glad the thread has helped, what this forum is all about. I'm learning all the time and it's helped me out on several occasions.
As to the adapters, no they're spacers. When I straight axled, a box and drum to drum axle I bought second hand my wheels fouled the adjusters on the spring plates. I'm sure I've read something on here About the subject before so I'm sure it's an issue that I'll have to research and find out why and how to rectify so I can lose the spacers, unless someone can throw some light on it and cares to comment.
And yes, usual issue, wheels are a mare to get off without undoing the lower shock mount.
Cheers
Steve

Nice work Steve, I'm doing (well, Simon the welder is, and I'm helping) some similar steel replacement on my bus just now and your thread has been a great help. I've learnt that there is a particular order in which everything needs to be done!
One question if I may? Are those adaptors from 112 pcd to 205 on your rear hubs? I'm looking at fitting Irs and will need to do the same I think- I was just a bit concerned about the wheel clearing the edge of the wheel arch on the early body. Is it any kind of a problem?
Cheers, Jon

Cheers,
Three or four weeks should see it finished, only really have weekends spare in the cave at the mo. Got to get it done by a April as we'll be into wedding season and then no spare weekends till October.

Ok final bits are done and brought the bus home today, all that's left is to refit the interior here back at base.
Chassis top coated
Refitted the engine, fuel tank etc
Innersealed all the cavities
Detailed the mechanicals
And completed the refit
Just about wraps it up i think, all done to schedule and on time..................... happy days as they say
