Seat belt anchor point:
I opted for a lap weld and to not grind it down too much because this is another of those areas where I'm far more concerned about strength than beauty here.
On to the dogleg. I bought a KF before the WW ones came out. And while they seem to be quite good, I know I'm not the first to have this problem at the top of the seam:
A bit of fettling and it was sorted. Then I finally got the wheel off and welded in the right hand side of the outer skin:

Cheers mate. I'm thinking lowish, and as fast as the budget allows, but that's a bit of a way of yet.

Spent today fixing this:
Seems to be quite a common mutilation. I assume it's to get access to the transmission?
So as I'd be welding in this area, I thought it would be sensible to remove the fuel tank (which I was surprised to find had fuel in it). Seems like someone had set up home here at some point!
Still got the side bits to that panel if anyone wants them for the price of postage? As it's a seam I guess it will have rotten on some people's but mine is good thankfully.

Well I don't want to make it easy for myself

Really appreciate the praise, I don't think of my skills as being particularly great

However, there are one or two things that are beyond me, and combined with the fact that I'm going to need to go back to work soon and won't have the chance to spend this kind of time on it for at least a year, I'm going to have to hand it over to a pro to do a few jobs.
However, I do want to have a go at the filler work, carpentry of the camping interior and upholstery.

No it doesn't bolt on, it's welded.
strangely it's not full back on the chassis rail either.
I made sure the engine lid fitted, along with the valance, then bolted the triangles to the valance & tacked one side it, then removed the old OG one from the other side & repeated.

This is weird, the brackets were missing on my bus and there really is no evidence they were ever there - no ground back welds. And what are the two holes in the bracket for? not the threaded ones the valance screws into - the ones on the other side? Are they just helpfully put there to plug weld onto the legs? And what about the two holes at the end of the legs?

I suspect the factory had a jig that held them on correctly prior to welding.
