To polish, or not to polish?

That, is the question..

And the answer is, that test on the back of one shows that it doesn't polish up to a mirror finish, so I'm not going to bother. Easy conclusion to reach. :D

Tomorrow's job is to fit the vinyl flooring.

First job is to warm it up for 24 hours.

It's the first time I've seen it, but I'm happy that it's suitable enough.

Have to confess to having done bugger all last weekend and been on a business trip for a couple of days. But did get around to cutting this oversized piece of vinyl ready to be installed and trimmed for final fitment.

I could probably do with ordering a stainless edging trim from autocraft and picking it up at Dubfreeze, but not sure I fancy going up there if the weathers going to .... all weekend.

Just looking at what you said was inside/outside on the curtains........
I always think the "nice" side should face outwards and the lining inside. Makes the van look much nicer. Although in the house you obviously have the "nice" side facing inwards.
Hmm, what's right.....

Cheers, Lee.

Ps ply floor looks the business, you must've had expert advice on how to cut it

Double sided would be the answer, but it would need 12 or 13 meters of fabric. .... that.

Finally... done this afternoon.

Looks alright too. There is a shadow in the pic above which makes it look a bit weird. But it's all good.

We haven't given a thought to outdoor yet.

Well, I haven't done much recently, but the past couple of days I have got my arse in gear and done a few bits.

I ran out of screw cups at this point..

Getting the door cards on really tidies up the front of the bus. The next thing to go in is the stereo and then I can button up the kick panels.

I'm scaling back on the stereo as I'm probably not keeping the van. Just the retrosound a head unit and a double speaker in the dash. The £800 amps and speakers can wait for another day.

Wow! Has it been that long!

Well I lost interest in the bus a bit last year and a really busy summer meant that I never looked at it even. However, I'm back on it with vengeance at the moment.

Here's a sneaky picture or 2 of what's getting ready to go into the bus..
