1959 Canadian Mango Microbus project

Ok. Another whole day on the mango.
I wasn't happy with a large section of weld on the rear wheel arch panel so cut it out and re welded it. Not much to show but a good few hours work in total

Then set too on the cargo door side B post. How it was and decided to repair below the hinge rather than the whole B post that I had bought.

Thought I'd share my 'other' project with you. No idea when I'll get time to get this roadworthy but the plan is to get it on the road then restore it in the years to come. This is the second one I've owned and think they are a very elegant looking car.

A couple of days work but not a lot to show for it.
Tackled the dreaded C post which I had put off.

Mocked up then welded. If someone can give me any tips on how you measure and cut to fit these posts I'd appreciate it.

Cleaned up the inner rear wheel arch tub prior to welding in the new outer arch panel.

Couldn't resist putting some paint on to see the match and effect. And make me feel like I'm getting somewhere.

A small patch repair on the rear. I didn't have the battery tray panel so couldn't finish this section.

So not a lot to show for two days work but the C post took hours of my time.
I did line up the arch panel just to see how it looked but it needs a little fettling to get it right.

Still waiting for lower rear corners and the I can finish the rear end. Hats off to the likes of MarkP, Rusty, BlastingDiePast and others whose work rate is far faster than mine.
