Got the bus back from the painters on wed evening, So what else would you do on a thursday morning befor you go to work...yep put the petrol tank in
I took the friday off work to spend the day on the bus and managed to get a few hours in today.
Started off by putting in the Sound deadening
Followed by CCF ( i think it's called )
And of course you have to take a break to fit more eciting things like windows hub caps etc etc
Doubt I'll get any done tomorrow as we are off to Loughborough to see Silversteve.

Evening.
Got the bus out on the road for the first time today, I do have a vid but I think I need to edit it a bit , never realise how much I swear !!!!
The drive was interesting, I had driven it up and down the alley a couple of times before the MOT, but after the MOT I stripped it out for painting.
The steering was awful, needs tightening up a bit, the brakes felt stupidly hard, needs sorting and the engine farted and back fired a bit.
But it was a good laugh. While the bus was out I took some pics for the Insurance, and hopefully in a couple of days I'll put up the vid.
Still got the cab door tops to go on, and we need to get to the upholsters to have a chat.

Had our first proper run out today, did about a 30 mile round trip, and I have to say I am pretty pleased with the 1600sp engine I built
Did get caught in the rain later tho. The squeaking you can hear is because I had only fitted the cab door tops yesterday and hadn't fully screwed them down. I was just letting it all settle !
Here's a little vid, hopefully it will play ok.
We were going to stop for a burger on the top of Portsdown Hill but it was absolutely *issing it down !!!

I just love the idea of joining the freebooters on the pink granite coast of France. .... Parked up facing the sea. ..

Research POBA interior...
Maybe make box units with cushions.
You would have units to move around then...LOL.

Hi Andy, I've not been on the forum for a wee while but really impressed with the bus mate, lovely colours and a great finish, well done sir, well worth the wait.
