Well... I'm back in a bus; Doodles the 1965 Devon

All sounds good G!
Thanks very much for the offer Boyden, looking forward to getting the front seats recovered :D

Gradually getting back to more stock style inside.

Under my ownership, the bus always had a Flat-4 Banjo which was nice, but I wasn't keen on the colour or feel of it.
So I picked up a stock wheel and fancy horn push for it, all in OG silver beige. They didn't stay that way for too long though, as the wheel needed some repairs for the sake of my hands.

This was how it was when I first reattached it:

After some restoration; my good friend Geof filled and sanded it, I painted it with some paint I got matched to the silver beige.

just looked at your driver's seat....when you come to change the covers you/ we need to look to see if there are any broken springs which require to be replaced. I have done this and I have a part seat pad pack to use to donate springs, I did this see pictures thread etc.

Happy new Year!

Hi, great thread on what you've done. I do like a 65 Devon.

Quick question, what is the chrome handle / switch under the fuel gauge? My minds going round and round to what it may be!

Cheers

It is indeed a map light, as Graham says :)

We all like before/after shots... So here's May 2013 vs. August 2015

Hi

Love the bus, I am converting to porsche rims and have 944 front brakes but I am stuck on converting the rear. What drums did you fit? I have bay window irs fitted.

Thanks!

Love the teledials

Hi there,

Cheers man!
My bus is straight axled using late bug parts, and early 5x205 bug drums. It's then fitted with a 25mm 5x205 to 5x130 adapter.
Sorry that isn't helpful for your IRS install!
