Back on it...
Cut section have been cut some more, removing all the crap we don't need!
Most of the seat has been binned but out of it we have managed to repair the seat base side sections both sides and the walkthrough base plate, the back areas are now being worked on and will be fully welded up tomo.
On another note the engine has arrived
Mmmmm chrome tinware, that's being binned! It's a 1641cc twin port which has done 3000 miles and now it'll be stripped checked, new seals and vw tinware put back on!
The IRS gearbox will be here later this week and that has been fully rebuilt with just the nose cone needing to be replaced, once here everything will be put in the van so we can start putting the engine side trays and fuel tank support panel in.
Photos later!
Cheers

More bulkhead work..
Drivers side is almost complete just the bottom back section to repair, passenger back is stripped and repaired ready again for repairs.
Front brace/steering box mount is welded in with the front inner valance tacked on for alignment.
Cab floor placed on again for alignment with the hand brake and steering box also put in.
Seat backs welded to walkthrough floor and all areas welded in (spot welded as vw then seam welded again from the inside for extra strength as its all been drill out then welded)
The whole walkthrough can be removed and worked on off the chassis, it will be blasted again etch primed then top coated in the inner areas which cannot be got at, then it will be welded back on to the chassis and painted again.

Next thing will be the seat base backs and top hats/I beam alignment.
Once in the side sills and B post inner sections will be tacked on, then we can start work in the A posts and seat panels.
