Now the bus is all in good condition so it's only the engine bay and rear valance I'm concentrating on here .
So I masked everything up and made a canopy so I can get inside whilst I sprayed.

Didn't want the whole garage filling with overspray

Stood a couple of oil filled rads in the engine bay canopy for around 3 hours before I started spraying so all the metal was warm to help with the paint hardening

first time I've used proper paint , normally use celle and rattle cans.
So not sure how this is gonna go?

Mix up the paint 2.1
Paint 2 , hardner 1

4 coats , leaving the area between sprays for fresh air even tho I'm fully masked up.

Once finished I removed the sheets and tape and put the heaters back in the engine bay

Few hours later this is the finished product

And wow what lovely paint to use, I've no interest in using celle anymore!

Went on thick and creamy , hard in no time .

You'll notice I missed a bit on the rear valance , annoyingly , so gotta redo that!

Lol so we were laying in bed last night and after filling her with a few glasses of red wine , I informed her I was going to need to take her measuring jug. I promised I'd replace it !
Guess I better keep to that !

Paint dry , now I can start fitting stuff back in.

Since the tank was out I decided to replace anything that would be difficult to get to in a hurry once the engine was back in place

Here I purchased a new tank filler pipe rubber seal.
Since the bus is in a garage and can't move it I had to fit the seal from inside the engine bay, which was a *****.
I soaked it in hot water and after a bit of messing about it slipped into place
