Parts have arrived so it's time to get the shell off and remove more....

Just got back from volksworlds with some more panels (KF) so we are good to go with getting the shell welded ontothe chassis.

Still working away, slowly drilling out the spot welds and removing the rotten panels.



More to remove but getting there, new lower bulkhead section cut into the new chassis section.

So with the bus on the ramp it's been up, down, up down etc etc etc lots of lining up and checking.

Bulkhead repaired



Long panel removed, cleaned up and new panel test fitted with the lower A post repaired and the arch test fitted.

Door braces removed and Keith supplied a new door which is 99% perfect as it's only missing the top hinge.



Now onto the other side.

Had an Arrrrrrgh moment later on this evening, so the n/s A post was shot and we have a new unit to fit, so we removed the A post



With the A post off we moved to the air box area which again needs to be replaced



So we thought might as well cut the lot out...



And then we (God knows why) looked inside the inner gutter Ooooooooo.....






Why oh why did we look, so time to chop that out...

Coming along Will. I thought I gave you the hinge? Maybe not, I'll check up the garage tonight.

I've pulled both top ones off your OG doors, both front doors are now on N/S A and B post are in with the front cargo door on as well.

Plus the chassis and shell are welded together! Big moment!!!

The body is now on the chassis and work is progressing to full weld in the new panels.

The bus is now off the support frame and two post ramp.

O/S A post repaired and wheel arch welded in







Moving to the other side, the donor door has a cracked hinge so we are using another one while we repair it



A post fully replaced, lower support panel installed, wheel arch installed.

Time to start alining the front nose.
