Well the bus got collected this morning at 10.00am as arranged to be taken oop North to Red9Design to have it's new front wishbone set up fitted. Had to take the roofracks off to get it in but all went without a hitch.
Seems a shame to have no little projects or fettling to do to take advantage of the empty garage
Here it is all tucked safely up ready to go
Oh and getting back to the thread about whether to put it on backwards or forwards it doesn't matter on this trailer as it's got three axles so,as long as the weight is evenly distributed it doesn't make any difference.
Cheers, Lee

Ok......update......sort of

Slept on an army camp bed at work in a draughty old industrial unit in London last night as I didn't finish until late. Managed about 4 and a half hours kip then up at 05:15hrs. Got my a schizzle together including some breakfast and some sarnies etc that I'd prepared yesterday then jumped on the underground to St Pancras to get the 07:29hrs train to Nottingham. From there I've got 6 minutes to find my platform and get a train to Worksop then all going well get picked up from the station an off to Red9Design where the beast should be sat waiting in all its glory with my shiny new wishbone front end and awesome new ride quality

I'm knackered and thinking along the lines of 2 hours kip on the train

I shall keep you updated...
Cheers, Lee.

It'll be worth it dude. How come you took it to them? Most folk buy and get local to fit. I guess if there are any probs they will fix it.
It's the best system out there, you'll be very happy mate.
While you have no toys... Have some great family time. I've been snowed under with work but not having the bus is a strange feeling. Till next Sunday anyway! Lol.

Ok, apologies for not updating the thread for a while. It's been really hectic here at Empster mansions what with one thing and another.
So.......
Managed about 2 hours kip on the most uncomfortable camp bed in the world, would've been better off sleeping in one of the cars I. The depot to be honest
Hauled my craggy @rse up at stupid o clock and got the tube to St Pancras and settled down for the train ride. Didn't get any sleep on the train either
Uneventful journey spent reading some magazines and looking out of the window wishing I could get some kip
Made the connection with a whole 3 minutes to spare - get in there
and settled down for the next bit of the journey. In the rain.....
I felt more sorry for the ticket collector to be honest as every station it stopped at she had to get out and wave her flag and she didn't hVe a jacket or anything
Arrived at Worksop station bang on time and got picked up by the ever so helpful chaps from Red9Design in their bay window for the short drive to the workshop. This journey gave me some insight into what the ride quality was going to be like........really good
On one of the straights he opened it out a bit and man, that thing flew
It's running a scooby engine
Got to the workshop and my beast was sat there waiting for me
First thing was a well needed cup of coffee as by now I was flagging a bit and not really looking forward to the loooooooooong drive home.
So I chilled for a bit and had a coffee and a chat about the wishbone setup and a looksie at a couple of dis-assembled units they had on the shelf and a few built up units they had.
Then went out to have a look at the beast and see my spangley new wishbone front suspension.
To be continued as I've been up since 04:30hrs and have to be up at the same time tomorrow
I'll post up some pictures tomorrow or the next day and let you know how the drive back went
Cheers, Lee.

It's more like three drives, all in the p!ssing rain

But yeah, I noticed that as well. It's more like a sort of surface rust you get on those black coloured engineering bolts. Not sure what the score is with them though or why that's happened

Cheers, Lee.

Chemi blacked the bolts, was dying to ask if it was a used setup, wouldn't be too happy to be honest for the money they cost.
