13 Window Deluxe - The keeper

Decided to whip the wheels off for a polish, wasn't happy with the chipped and marked wheel nuts so decided to give them a freshen up while they were off,

While the rear wheels were off spotted a bit of an issue with the rear shocks

Looks like the rear spring plates are hitting on the shocks. Is there a thinner shock available that I should be using on a lowered bus?

A nice delivery of new shiny parts arrived Thursday night. Just enough time to fit them before we headed off to the pod on Friday.

Had an awesome weekend at the first show in the new bus, plenty of laughs, plenty of beers and a cool cruise home afterwards with a couple of mates,

No pictures this week, but I did get a few more small jobs done in preparation for Brighton Breeze. New Butty's safari seals fitted, although I'm hoping we won't find out if they work as it will be dry all weekend

Sorting a couple of dodgy earths on the lights, so now both headlights are as bright as each other. Just a few pop catch's to fit and we're ready.

Never done Brighton Breeze before so really looking forward to it.

Well a house move and fitting of a new kitchen has meant no work on the bus since it was put in the garage after Brighton Breeze. Old knackered steering wheel was really letting the interior down so got a shiny new banjo wheel fitted this morning, picking up the horn push at Stanford Hall tomorrow. Just need a stereo to finish tidying up the dash area.

That looks so cool, I'm tempted to put the aerial in the front bumper

Our first trip to Devon in the 13 didn't quite work as planned. Got to Junc 2 of the M6 and the front suspension dropped (looked ace, but not very driveable). 3 Hours standing on the side of the motorway waiting for a truck to take us home.

Looking at the bottom of the front bumper it hit the ground quite hard when it dropped!

Found the issue, top adjuster slipped and shredded the teeth on the plate. Should these be made of steel, as this one isn't!!

I think they usually are because some people weld them up once they've set the position - to avoid this issue.

Bus looks ace like that.
