So do you have to glue this on Brian? Looking at the pictures in the workshop manual and parts list they didn't have a seal there, but it does make sense to have one.
Scotty did you ever get to fit a sunroof? ... Nice to see you last weekend
Hi Simon, couldn't see it in the workshop manual either, but there was definitely the remnants of one that had been fitted there before, I have seen the seal fitted on later buses so I’m assuming it must have come in on the cross over from the Barn Doors to the Wolfsburg’s!!
Yes, it came with a double sided tape but I went with contact adhesive.
Any chance of a couple of pic's of the outside of your rag top mate, particularly where the canvas and the bow pulls down on to the roof above the skylights, just wondering how tight the connection between canvas and roof is, and how they achieved it? If the canvas is on top of the bow there’s going to be a gap, did they fit the bow into the canvas at the very end??

Hi Reggie, Marc put the comment up that it was 'sent for refurb' I'm actually doing it myself, should be bench testing it this weekend, I'll post some pic's up once it's finished. Brian.

Few more bits ready to fit.
Semaphores, how they started out:
Now they're finished:
Original part numbers clearly show now, nice to see the 'A' looks like they've never been replaced.

Did someone overhaul your semaphores? If so could I ask who did them.

Hi Paul,
No mate, didn't know anyone in the UK that had the spares so I sent them to a guy call Francisco Barone at kaefer-nostalgie.com, the plating wouldn't be a problem, checking out and rewinding the solenoid is easy enough but finding all the right size tube rivets and replacement springs to put them all back together would be a pain. One of mine had a solenoid rod which would have needed replacing as well, so I contacted Francisco to see if he had any of the springs etc, I could see he had the rivets, he came back and offered me a full refurb at what I thought was a fair price so I sent them over to him to do, he turned them around pretty quick to, just over 4 weeks door to door.
This is his web site if you fancy checking it out http://www.kaefer-nostalgie.com/catalog/41
Cheers Brian.
