So Apologies for Photo*uckit's behaviour..
Ransome ware!
Will restore the missing items ..only 300 pictures on here. 1000 on Peebles.
Matt steaming on..
He gave me a list of items he requested me to procure in order to trial fit and modify the undercariage of Sherry whilst she is on the rotisserie and on her side.
He has been finish welding lots of items on the underside, fettling welding dressing, checking and completing etc.
I had a long "Sherry work to" list which was merely my Project Engineer's view of what needed doing.. The big things I knew..
It is amazing his eye for minute detail of areas to be finished off and tarted n tweaked.
Will have welded on outer belly pans with Devon step holes etc.
Holes drilled painted another coat of black ready waiting for mock up trial fitting.
Bolted on centre belly pan with rivnuts in the chassis.
Will have oil cooler with spall fan from Concept racing to cool the oil. Aim to use her in hot conditions with "larger" engine.
Like this...
Will delete the stolen shots if the owner objects..
But mine will have heat exchangers.. so has a central Heater tube..
So unlike his last install Matt will have to fathom and fabricate an exit point..
No central heater lipe so big exit hole..
Will have dual m/c so the under cab splash pan required a mod this time with a big ball peen hammer to cope with longer m/c body.
Brake pedal shaft bearing surfaces remetalled so bearings support the shaft which was heavily corroded and undersized..
Like a ***** in a shirtsleeve..
Hope no one understands that..
Will have remote servo and Z14 front seat belt mounts .
On Peebles I had the strap fitted before the servo location. On Sherry he will mock and position and fit brackets etc at the same time.
Rick Howarth has resolved the issue of the rear hatch seal panel. Lost in translation. We did not realise that of course, there are two early hatch seal panel forms.
Panel van/ kombi has no return and is flat.. no headlining.. which I received..and microbus has the required and expected return to grip the headlining which I wanted. Rick has now supplied a replacement panel.
What a great guy he is!
Cheers for sorting this Rick!
My fault for not knowing.
Rear hatch seal panel is now fitted.
Missing corner piece fabbed n fitted.
Looks like it will soon be time to trial fit the Devonette rear seat panel and upper shelf which Kevin Jackson has rescued for me.
Matt has measured mocked and cut the rear Euro lamp holes.. to be finely fettled if required to match the seals and lamp bodies.
.
Off to back load more pictures.

Are you having an early seatbelt reinforcement kit made up? I've been looking for one for a while.
Could you find out the cost if they made more than one? We're interested and it might bring your costs down.
Thanks
Andy

Yes but on a make as we go along basis and fit so no economies of scale. Some bits already made..
I found the Z14 supplement when researching for seat belt fitment info and fitted the basic brace with 7/16" UNF nutted plates under the floor of my September 64 bus.
I engineered round not using M24 to 7/16' inserts
For this project I first saw the different tool box rear edge early profile and centre seat belt set up on Nathan's early "Trapezoidal = rolled" Swedish Samba.
I then saw the M24 inserts and saw that this was an M code option.
I had never seen that set up before in the metal.
Then I saw Rusty1962 Steve Jones posted pictures of his US bus with the same early body set up so I asked for dimensions and he kindly did the drawings.
As shown.
Basically Matt is making from bits of metal they have.
I am now tasked with seeking some 3mm strip for the brace and seeking 50cm of 3mm wall thickness 3cm tube and it is made. Have some somewhere.
Matt is Master fabricator.
So It will not be a kit to fit.
The original strap was a pressed affair with corrugations but we will make pads and then weld to smooth the floor ribs with 7/16" nutted plates again on the lower side of the strap.
Heater cable tube run allowing.
It is hidden by the under cab splash pan anyway.

Would you be prepared to share copies of all the drawings?
Do you reckon the original kit could have been adapted for a centre passenger on the bench seat? DVLA registered my truck as a 3 seater, although whoever sits in the middle had better have little legs

Z14 Supplement is on thesamba.com.
It was good for showing locations of centres etc. The original fittings were for threaded holes for fitting M24 adaptors to 7/16"UNF. We simply used nutted plates with 7/16" fittings.
Cheapest I found was on Driftworks..but sold on eBay C&C etc.
Some we used were threaded holes in bar sections.
For my 64 we used some 3mm flat section formed to suit the location to get holes on tool box for three belts. Two inertia reel and centre lap belt.
I will measure what we have fitted to my 64 and gather all the pictures I have and fabrication drawings and post here.
Post above has drawings for the two tubes etc.
I will be fitting two inertia reel and two centre lap belt from these two tubes ..
Maybe...a little close together you may want to modify.?
